Context
Caring about the integration of disabled workers, the Group wants to reaffirm its social identity and increase rapidly and effectively its utilization rate among the adapted and protected sector
Objectives
The mission objectives are the following :
- Mapping of initiatives of utilization rate to adapted and protected rate
- Propose improvement of ongoing actions
- Identify spending’s categories for which the Corporation could use on the long term and in a value-creating way the service of the adapted and protected sector.
- Establish an action plan to increase significantly and progressively the employment rate for people with disabilities
- Define the internal organization, particularly between “Handicap referents” and “Purchasing correspondents” and define worthful investments to finance the defined strategy
Resources
- Constitution of a project comity with the General Management, the Human Resources Department and the Purchasing Department
- Diagnostic of responsible purchasing strategy of the Corporation
- Inventory of all contracts with the adapted and protected sector
- Qualitative benchmark (organization and practice) and quantitative (direct and indirect employment rate) with comparable enterprises
- Identification of the categories with greater opportunities, beyond the classical which have already showed their limits (ineffectively enough valorization of the workers with disabilities, limited capacity of the actors…)
- Elaboration of a purchasing strategy toward the “EA” and “ESAT”
Results
The Group set up a Purchasing strategy aiming at increasing rapidly and significantly the utilization rate to the adapted and protected sector. A detailed action plan of the purchasing category with the greater opportunity, as well as a network with the referents in charge of the strategy deployment permitted to implement the policy
The result and the approach have been acclaimed by most of the associations in the adapted and protected sector, as well as by the purchaser community (different trophy and press article)
