Context
The Group has mobilized significant human and financial means to monitor its industrial infrastructures (visual inspection campaign, often thanks to helicopters) and to treat the collected data.
- Significant reduction of intervention delay
- Significant improvement of the quality of collected data and the analysis
- Reduction of humans means engaged for the data acquisition
- Definition of a new protocol of data collection, for a reinforced security and an enhanced maintenance
Objectives
The purchasing strategy should allow the enterprise to move progressively to a « drone » modality, with more than 50% of operations conducted by civil drones, from the data acquisition to the end of infrastructure maintenance and the risk prevention.
Resources
The mission has been divided by CKS team in several stages:
- Segmentation of client’s needs, particularly by taking into account the own specificities of the projects to monitor and their impacts on technical characteristics of drones (Ex: autonomy) and required certifications.
- Segmentation of market actors. (Ex: manufacturers, operators…), identification and qualification of the main actors in France and Europe.
- Strategical analysis of the evolution of Suppliers offers, with a two- or five-year horizon.
- Study of legal texts in France (DGAC) and in Europe.
- Organization of a benchmark of contractors who already have set up a purchasing strategy. (Construction, energy, mining sector, transportation, agriculture…)
- Modeling different scenario of deployment (perimeter and deployment speed, Suppliers database, internal organization, contracting modalities…)
- Economic modeling (ROI) of each scenario in a global context in which no reference price exists (high diversity and low industrialization of suppliers’ offers)
Results
Set up of a specific action plan by CKS, validated by the Executive management
