Context
The recently restructured Procurement function of the Group wishes to be accompanied in the construction and deployment of purchasing strategies in high-stakes segments (Precise mechanics, forging and foundry, plastics, telecommunication equipment, etc.). Therefore CKS helped thanks coaching sessions, the ten buyers in charge of these strategies.
Objectives
The chosen approach must lead to:
- Definition of a common methodology for designing and formalizing a purchasing strategy
- The development of new skills, new internal procedures (eg: Procurement strategies submission meetings to prescribing directorates)
- Affirmation of the contribution and role of Commodity Buyers
But also to:
- Segmentation and analysis of internal needs
- Segmentation and Suppliers market analysis
- Identification of the appropriate levers
A modelling of purchasing strategies
Validation of purchasing strategies by the Purchasing Department and the prescribing departments,
A deployment of purchasing strategies

CKS consultants assist buyers in the creation and implementation of their purchasing strategies.
- Methodological contribution via the animation of a 2-day training session on the theme of "Category Management"
- Definition of the objectives and the schedule of achievement of each of the strategies targeted by the Buyers Families
- Buyers support and individual coaching on milestones
- Validation of the levers and business models proposed by each of the Buyers, during collective sessions
